It is my joy and a great pleasure to welcome all of our members, friends and visitors to the Church of God of Prophecy’s National Convention Website.

​

Conventions are a time when local churches assemble corporately for; praise, worship, fellowship, giving, teaching, preaching, conducting business, and vision casting. This will be a historic convention for two reasons. Firstly, it is my first National Convention as the newly appointed Bishop for Eastern Canada. Secondly we will be housed in our own facility, the Montreal North Church of God of Prophecy. This location is designated as our Convention Center scheduled to take place August 4th-6th 2023.

Wherever people are in the world we must all agree that people still need the Lord Jesus Christ in their lives. People need to know that God loves them, and he forgives them regardless of their sins, and he is calling them to return to. The only way they can return to God is through faith in Jesus Christ, the Word of god in human flesh. Man will be restless, living without purpose or a future until they have reconciled with God who created and loves them.

Our newly selected Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter, has charged the Church of God of Prophecy worldwide to pursue our vision, under the theme “Reconciling the World to Christ by His Holy Spirit.” We will achieve this vision “UNITED” in Eastern Canada by faithfully and passionately adhering to the call of the Great Commission …

 

Mandate: Go and Make Disciples of all nations. Matt 28:16-20 (19)

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (NKJV)

​

The Impetus of the Great Commission springs from the heart of God. John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (NKJV)

​

The Great Commission is accomplished through witnessing Acts 1:8

​

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (NKJV)

​

 

The Great Commission necessitates taking the gospel message to the ends of the earth, Matthew 24:14

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (NKJV)

​

Join with me in praying that this Convention experiences the overwhelming presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
